Rambo/Amigo Fly Rider Rugs?

Has anyone had any experience with the Rambo or Amigo fly rider rugs, or similar design rugs?

Due to my mothers horse not being able to move her tail to swat flies, I'm looking into these rugs for her if she decides to ride her again (plus she has had to have most of her tail hair shaved off so the rug would cover it!).

Anyone used one and found them useful?

No experience of the rig but skin so soft dry oil spray from Avon is fantastic for flies

I ride Rosie in a ride on fly rug, bought it off eBay...it's by HKM

I dont have a ride in flyrig but do have rambo flybuster turn out rug and rainliner which I could not be without plus I use a ridein fly mask that goes over her bridle :happy:

I also can swear by using avon skin so soft and also their green insect repellant spray :smile:

I don't know about riding fly rugs, but I do use a riding fly mask. Also mostly I ride earlier than the flies arrive - I did ride out today when it was flyie with someone who rode out in a riding fly rug - actually they had more problems than me, so I personally wouldn't say it worked.

Or maybe just a mesh quarter sheet with a long tail flap might help keep the flies away from her hind end.
