I've just been watching a PBS program on the British Invasion in pop music, and I got to thinking about all of you on this forum. Some say "If you remember the Sixties, you weren't there." But I was, and I do. And I thought it would be fun to start a thread of "Where were you when ..." with a difference--
Where (if anywhere) were you riding back then? What horse or pony did you ride? What style, what type saddle, jods, etc.?
I was taking lessons at some local barns, riding Apple Jack and Red and Tony, forward seat, WTC and just starting to learn how to jump. I spent my allowance on the forerunners of Breyer horses and on Beatle records.
I remember reading in 16 (?) Magazine that Mick Jagger enjoyed horseback riding too!
