For me in fact!

I need new work shoes - the ones I currently have are tatty & I look like a tramp. I tend to wear ballet type pump things (from Next or DP etc) which fall apart & lose their shape after a while. I do have a pair of back patent medium size heels but I can't wear them all day every day. I also like to wear different coloured shoes, depending on what I'm wearing.

Can anybody recommend anywhere in particular to buy decent shoes that are good for feet (i.e. better than ballet pumps) but don't cost the earth? I don't have large/wide feet although I struggle to find boots that fit over my calves.

I am no use, I have one pair of riding boot, a pair of wellis, a pair of clogs and one pair of do it all walkingboot/trainer things. I have a posh pair of shoes for going out that I also wear for carriage driving shows.

new look? I get mine from here as i too have wide feet..they are reasonable and dont cost the earth !

I wear ballet pump style shoes as well to work, generally I buy them from tescos, asda, or matalan. That way, I can buy heaps of them at a cheaper price and not wear them down so quick (although they are obviously not as tough being cheapies).

I work in a specialist shoe shop that is full of comfy shoes. Some of our brands that are most reliable and comfortable are Theresia M and caprice. I where caprice to work all day and they're great :) They are expensive though, but I believe they are worth the cost ( though easy for me to say when I get them free with my job :P ) but they are excellent quality. I'm not sure who sells these brands those as i work in a shop called footwise that is only in Guildford and Kensington but might be worth looking if someone near you is a stockist.

Evans or SimpleyBe shoes, they come in normal shoe sizes but are more generous around the calf, I have some lovely sets of boots from there. When I'm a bit down, I cheer myself up and buy a set :D

I have numerous ballet type pumps from La Redoute, they're still going strong despite me having had them a good few years!
However, I rarely buy proper shoes and opt for flat(ish) long or short boots.
Shame you don't have a Winnfields near you Roxy! They're great and stock loads of good brand footwear. I get quite excited whenever I visit ours, tis a big place and last time I went I ended up with two pairs of long boots for £26! (Not leather but you'd never know!)

M and Co do nice flats too - I've got a pair of patent black ballet pump type from them which are a good fit. (I have broad feet).

I used to love Dotty P's for shoes and clothes. Think I'm too old for them now though - last time I tried a pair of long boots on in there it wouldn't even go over my ankle bone! hahahahahahaha

I love Duo for shoes. They do a multitude of widths and sizes and they are very well made. They are not cheap (£65+ for a pair of flats) but hold out for the sales. i got 3 pairs for under £60 in their last sale!
