showing attire

[kateb78]

Hi all, just wanted to check before buying a new hat - can i wear a navy hat at shows or does it have to be black. its not to a high level more local shows, x-c events etc??
thanks!! x

Navy is preferable

[Thistle]

Yes, definitely navy whatever the level, black is for boys!

[Bertie]

x-country I think you have to wear a skull cap rather than velvet traditional one, may very well be wrong though

[xloopylozzax]

XC has to be a skull cap you arent allowed a peaked hat (i dont think anyway)

for showing (or show jumping) navy is better

Oh yes!

I have myself and 3 kids to kit out - my husband is completely confused as to why we all need 3 hats & more than 1 show jacket each.

I just bought a new hat and bought black instead of navy Will have to pretend I'm a boy then

I always wear my navy peaked hat xcountry. I like a peak because it saved me from smashing my face up too badly when my horse sumersalted over a ditch.

i do believe, at least with pony club that fixed peak caps arent allowed in x country phases
