Connor! I swear it is all down to Dom. He saw his ad on FB, he enquired about him and he is totally smitten. I have succeeded in bringing him completely over to the dark side..... my work is done! :p

Anyhoo..... Dom did say that Cullen needed a playmate and the other logical things for our madness is that it now means that Dom and I can hack out on Jack and Albi together, leaving the babies for short periods - and I am really missing this. Plus it means that we don't have to build a third stable into our soon-to-be-erected new hay barn as the only one who really needs to come in overnight in winter is Jack and all the other three can take turns to keep him company whilst the other two live out. Perfect. "No more", I said on the way home with him in the trailer.... then added "Wouldn't it be funny if J*** doesn't want Breeze (the grey) any more". 24 hours later I got the text..... I'm a witch, I swear!!!

So. Unlike Cullen who had a bad start in life, Connor has been well-handled, by adults AND children. He is 14 months old and entire. But he doesn't know he is still a colt as he is very quiet, mild-mannered and gentle. The complete opposite of Cullen who IS gelded and a thug. Formerly known as Ginger which is far too plain and doesn't suit him, the name Connor came to me in a flash and has stuck.... Connor & Cullen has a nice ring to it too. In the 10 days that Connor has been with us he has already had his hooves trimmed and his first tetanus jab. Together they are adorable.... even the vet said to me "Jane, baby horses don't really do it for me but even I have to admit those two are cute". He was advertised by a miniature cob breeder, about 20 miles from here, as "10.3, to make 12.3" but he is pretty much bang-on the same size as Cullen who Dom and I measured as 12hh a couple of weeks ago. Connor's mum was already in-foal when the breeders bought her so we think they have played down his size because of the company that they are. In any case, we don't care.... we love him whatever size he makes.....
