It's partial. If I see anything it will do šŸ˜†
It's actually a really good excuse to sit out with food and drink and just see what happens then get the sunset after.
(Assuming i haven't fallen asleep)
 
I've heard about it but not sure when its happening? I remember one in the 1990's - probably about 1998ish and I was running a kitchen studio at the time. Everyone on the whole high street came out to view it, butchers, baker etc - but it was such a let down hahahaha. I remember standing there thinking it was a bit of a non event lol lol.
 
You need to be somewhere where you can actually see it as if it was going to set. It's a partial this time.
If I capture anything it will do šŸ˜†
 
It's Wednesday evening. I believe somewhere between 6 to 9pm not sure on exact times. Supposed to be more visible in the south. Sorry you northern folk. I shall probably be outside doing stuff anyway. Not sure if it's supposed to go dark or anything. Haven't read the reports.

Just looked at the map, it's around 7pm. The North do get it as well, 90% eclipse.

If you go to where you can see the sunset, you will still see something I think.
It's big enough in the sky for everyone to see a moon passing on front I would have thought.
 
I didn't get glasses so I'm attempting to watch it by holding a fish slice with holes in front of a sheet of paper like they showed us on the TV. So far nothing to report other than that the roof of my tack room has started cracking a little bit as though it's expanding/shrinking/raining. Must admit it does feel a bit weird even though it's still bright out there ..

Lol I spotted something on BBC news page about using a colander. hahahaa. We'll all be walking around looking like extras from the Mash get Smash adverts hahahahahaha.
Nothing doing here, I'm not looking. I looked on the Royal Observatory page instead on fb.

Yes it was like that here on Orkney too. I had a bad feeling and went to check on Storm as she's in her paddock. She looked up but not at the sun - cos I was worried she might hurt her eyes. People have been going on about it damaging retinas. I worried about our lot. The cats were asleep thankfully.
 
I remember the one in the late 90ā€™s, it was a very weird feeling, tonight much the same

Got a few snaps. The reflection of the moon covering the sun.

It was complete gridlock as everyone headed to the beach and the location I chose was still busy.

It went chilly, slightly darker.

typically the cloud covered the sun here just as it started, then stayed until it finished :(

I was lucky enough to see if as the lady I sat next to let me look as I was getting photos she couldn't get.
People who were leaving were also handing out their glasses to those who didn't have any.
It was a lovely friendly atmosphere.
