I just came across it on Youtube and wanted to know if it's a real regular occurence! 
2 stallions in a pen, one mare stuck in with them, people put bets on the stallions which fight to the death.
I would post the link but it's very unpleasant.

I know . The stallions 'lose points' for backing off or getting hurt, and 'gain points' for sustained attacks on each other.
