For those awkward situations
That's taking the P
No flipping way
They said, did what moments

I hate confrontation, so I will need to word my message so it solves the issue without it looking like I am really piddled off.

The field sharer has a family who come and ride. First impression they appear to be capable, confident and their presence doesn't make me nervous unlike the sharer who always worries me!!

I notice that they start rummaging through my things and I point out that someone will need to buy some brushes as the pony only has the one. Oh is this box yours, yes none of that belongs to the sharer, oh they were in here the other day, sorry we didn't know it wasn't theirs!!?!
Now, I am easy going and if someone asks to borrow something I would on the whole say yes (with the exception of my clippers), I actually allowed the sharer to borrow things until they got sorted. Six months on they shouldn't be showing people my stuff and giving them the impression it's theirs because they can't be bothered to get their own grooming kit. 😬
Looking for the positives with the mistake in letting them move in to share.

Over to you

Lol I remember on our first yard the kids hadn't been told that it was a bit rude taking other people's equipment. I got so piddled off with them "borrowing" my fork and brush that I actually made an intricate set of knots out of baler twine and tied them together in my corner on a hook against the wall. Came down that Saturday evening (was always a Saturday!) to find the kids had simply snipped the baler twine and taken them anyway. So after a long hard day at work I wasn't happy and marched down to their block and told them in no uncertain terms not to take them again without asking or putting them back! Wouldn't have been so bad if they'd used them then put them back but they left them in their own stable block and I would have to go looking for them. For my troubles I just got laughed at. Honestly sometimes....... 🤪
