The stupid hunt ....

Phew! I've been trying to keep up with this thread, but it's been flat out!

Thought i'd try and add my input with a more light-hearted note that might make some chuckle during this heated thread in relation to this quote! :)

My friend went out cubbing the other week with the neighbouring hunt. The master there had just employed a new groom from poland, who was an amazing rider, however apparently didn't quite understand the whole hunting concept and hardly spoke a word of english... Mr Charlie ran out from the bushes, and before the whipper-in could do anything, said Mr Polish, took off at breakneck speed in pursuit of the fox! Everyone, including the hounds and Foxy, looked slightly bemused by the whole thing. Next minute, Mr polak, still at flat out gallop, was up level with Charlie, feet out stirrups, either ready to pounce or lasso! :D

The master snapped out of his bewildered state and charged up to him and grabbed his jacket and guestered, in a language anyone would understand :p, that these actions were not quite the way to go. Needless to say, it had everyone, again including Foxy, the hounds and all hunt goers (and prob any antis/sabs) rolling on the floor with laughter! :D

I think it could be the way forward.... i personally love hunting, but i also love a good laugh, and for the sake of comedy value... i'd opt to have a crazy-polish fox catcher on my hunt anyday!! :D

I actually have tears of laughter streaming down my face! That's brilliant! I reckon a crazy polish fox catcher ought to be compulsory for every hunt now! Would provide a damn good laugh at any rate!

Have to agree with Zani and Flash Harry, no one is ever going to agree, so may as well have a bit of a laugh. :p

Thats human nature - how boring it would be if we all agred, good debate, for and against, everybody has their own opinion.......... at the end of the day horses are our buddies.................. (*sneaks off to bed with a HUGE g and t :):))

jojo... i was joking.. as you know but PMSL i knew it was a good idea!

I think it's the way forward! It would be fun for all... pro and antis alike... the battle between fox and polak in a wrestle for survival! :D *Has visions of the fox with Mr Polish in a headlock rubbing his knuckles hard on his scalp, then stealing his horse and galloping off to the nearest pub!!* :D Haha! Maybe i've had too many martinis whilst reading this thread!! :D :o

What a load of rubbish!!!

As others have said they kill in a frenzy just like members of the weasel family do:rolleyes:

Ever heard the expression 'like a fox in the henhouse''???

Ask the farmers how many lambs/ducks/geese/chickens the list goes on het slaughtered every year by foxes and most of them are left to rot where they lie.

I think you have to get your head out of the books and internet and get out talking to people who actually live in the countryside:rolleyes:

So are we now going to have a rash of 'fluffy fox club' signatures to match the fluffy bunny ones?? At least the fluffy bunny ones were funny

Just incase you missed my previouspost....

I live and work in the countryside, this is why I'm able to confidently defend the fox and support local farmers who refuse to allow hunts across their land.

Don't make assumptions that just because people are pro ban they are all "fluffy", nothings further from the truth.;)

to be fair, ameliet1971 has valid points aswell, its people with a diffence of opinion that have created a good thread that hasnt been locked, the way other people see the world intriges me (thats directed at nobody)

right weve covered foxes to the hilt, how about views/thoughts on stag hunting??

Ah Jojo you crack me up, tonight i have popcorn oh no wait that's immature i forgot. Alphabet candies anyone?

I posted on this thread earlier and it was on about page 11 and now quite frankly i'm confused about what's happened. Last i saw we were debating galaxy and cadburys?

Let's talk about anything except bloody popcorn and chocolate!!!:D

different i think, im not to up on it.

Don't think i've got the energy to read up on it after having read through this mammoth thread tonight! *slugs at martini!* :o

ETA: It has been very interesting though and i do like to hear both sides to a story. As long as people are willing to accept everyone has different views/opinions in life that cannot simply be changed by bullying their opinions onto others... that goes for both sides, and i'm a pro-hunter. :)
