Hunter Trials - Pairs Jumping. Lovely clear to come 5th in the 65cm class. Less than 1 second covered 3-5th places!!
Oscar had not been ridden for a week and it showed! He was silly in the warm up area - jumping like a kangaroo. Twin 2 was unseated literally just before they were due to start. I checked she was unhurt and shoved her back on and sent her into the arena while she was still sobbing. I felt terrible but I knew she would have been MUCH more upset if she had missed their round.
Lisa went in front as she is solid as a rock and didn't put a hoof wrong. She also hadn't been ridden as the kids were both away on a school trip but Lisa never changes, bless her. By the time they hit fence 2 I could see Twin 2 was fine and focused. Huge beams when they finished and even bigger ones when they realised they were placed!
