Thorowgood t6?

I have a Thorowgood Cob Gp T6 3D because it was one of 2 saddles that were the best fit for my mare.

I think the finish in it is excellent and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. I love synthetic anyway because I'm a lazy minx who doesn't like to clean her saddle very much and one of my favourite rides is in a river. I also like the fact that a sythetic is lighter than leather as I do suffer with weight issues.

The tree is flat enough for my flat backed (with medium wither) sec d. I have a 17.5 inch and the seat is fairly secure and not as flat as some saddles meaning I have less room compared to some other makes I've ridden in. I would also prefer it is they did this saddle in a VSD cut as I prefer my legs to be more under me.

However, in terms of looks and comfort for my horse I really couldn't fault it - and at such a good price too :)

I have a 17.5" T6 cob 3D on my pony, It's a nice saddle very difficult to tell from leather unless up really close...I show locally with mine with no problems.

It fits my boy ok, but he is not particularly cobby/flat backed, I think it would fit a flatter backed horse better but saying that it was one of the few that did fit mine. I find when he's full weight it fits really well it's just when he drops a little too much it doesn't.

The interchangeable gullets are great though as is the fish as without these I would have had to have bought three different saddle in the last year due to his improving muscle wastage and changing of shape.

Harvey is a 13.3hh welsh cob type

I had the T6 3D dressage saddle and I had to sell it :( Wasn't a bad fit for R, but wasn't as good as it could've been. AS for me, I couldn't work out why I had suddenly started to tip forward in my rising trot, and I used to use the saddle on an equisimulator and then found I couldn't rise in it at all on that as there wasn't enough oomph to push me out of the saddle. I had got special stirrups to try and counteract it as I thought it was me. Wasn't until R went lame and I started rinding anothe rhorse in a different saddle that suddenly it became clear it was the saddle and not me!!

It looked great and to be fair you'd be hard pushed to tell it wasn't leather until you look more carefully.
