Total Contact Saddle?

Oh, Its a bit like a surcingle with stirrups:) Personally I wouldn't buy one but there must be a market for them if there for sale. I do own a treeless but it looks like a traditional saddle. It seems fairly pointless to me and no doubt quite expensive to ride pretty much bareback. Would be interested if anyone's ridden in one?

Barge meets a pole.

Just because something gets made doesn't mean there is a market for it. Fair enough I created my own bareback pad that could have stirrups, but it doesn't mean I can go on and sell them.

If you wish to test it out on a budget, get a donkey pad or Shetland pad.

I like testing things but not at my horses expense. I used my friend as the crash test dummy for a few items that found there way onto the open market though

What's interesting on the write ups is they've you irrelevant information such as bitless and barefoot. So what. It's no big deal these days!

Tbh I'd rather ride in a pony pad:)

Good friend of mine had a long and in depth conversation with the owner of TCS. She is very genned up about saddles and gave the poor guy quite a grilling about pressure points, etc. Apparently the saddle has been extensively tested and he was happy to have emailed her thermograph images and stats. She was a snidge away from buying one but decided against it in the end. I quite like the look of them, tbh.

But its just a roller with stirrups surely? If I added stirrups onto mine its the same thing?
They have altered it I believe though, for welfare reason the stirrup bar is set lower and they do suggest a geleze pad. That's your non slip component before you put on another pad which they suggest a polypad, as oppose to an actual pad designed for a treeless.
Reading the blurb they won't disclose about pressure saying the rider is encouraged to ride lighter using this system of balance. That's what puts people off I have spoken to, if the rider isn't in balance you could have issues, let's face it the rider jumping that fence is balanced blindfolded.
I love treeless but I am not tempted, nor do I know anyone who is.
