I have a 2010 2lt petrol manual Honda CRV with a Ifor 401 single trailer,
My question is, will that set up be ok for my 600kg mare?
Thank you

Check the chassis plate for the max tow weight for the vehicle (the internet says 1500kg but it can vary by model so best to check your specific vehicle), then add the trailer weight, and mares weight and as long as it’s under the vehicle’s max, the vehicle should handle it, but if you live in a really hilly or snowy area you wouldn’t want to be pushing the upper limit.

Thank you, I’m just over the 1500kg & it’s looking like 1600kg, which is a result, combination of Molly & the trailer is 1370, so I think I’ll be ok & I live in Essex, no hills or snow 🤣, thank you lots for your reply

I’ve been driving myself mad over figuring out the weights & what not! I’m not planning to venture out miles from where I am, lessons & fun rides all within 10 miles of where we are based.

I went through all this with our horsebox when I bought Sapphire and realised that she me tack etc were just about ok in a 3.5 tonne, hadn't figured that out before I bought her....
