hi guys,
Was just curious about this cross. I love the little welsh a's but unfortunately I'm a little big for them now. I also love the welsh D's but would love a more dishy, refined head and more pony like. Would the cross be similar or different to a welsh c? Has anyone had any experience with this cross?
Thanks in advance

I used to ride a welsh d x Arab for someone, it was feisty and not a novice ride, it was also a chesnut mare, pretty and really talanted but not a easy ride at all, they bought it from the sales and couldn't sell it or loan it, it used to snort at you, lol. Put it this way, I wouldnt dream of getting on something that wired nowadays, I actually appreciate being able to choose when to dismount, lol. xx

What sort of size pony are you looking for? Welsh Cs seem to me to have the substance of the D but the pony-pretty looks of the A, but from what I can see they have masses and masses of Welsh character too!

D x arab is one I have always hankered for, but they aren't generally an easy cross. I think in D's you do get those with more refined dishey heads, it depends on which blood lines you go for.

Arab x Connies are nice, although not generally a laid back ride and are capable of being very versatile. I'd like a fell x Arab but doubt they would be an easy ride either as fell ponies do have their opinionated streak. :-) x

Welsh C's are amazing we had 2 of them competing at national level carriage driving :D

Oscar says: "Am I am amazing?? Why yes I think I am!" He is such a poser. I was never a fan of Welshies and I still have some reservations about them. My heart is in my mouth a lot when the kids ride. You never now when he is going to go YEEEEHHHHHAAAAA let's have some FUN. This is BOOOOORRRIIING.

But they are very good fun if you like that kind of thing.......

I love a Welsh of any description but there is a Welsh c at work and he is the most lovable round barrel with huge character but in the right partnership (they are not for everyone) they make cracking ponies and will give you their heart and often a few heart attacks of your own along the way ;-) I hope the viewing goes well at the weekend!

@KP nut, Oscar looks so cute and full of onery character all at the same time. Handsome boy. I really like him. Not to leave out your adorable rosy cheeked daughters :). They seem to be really enjoying their pony. I'll bet he can a handful though.
