I have had never had a flying ants nest move in before.

If you look closely you can see the eggs in one of the photos.
I don't know if relocating it will encourage them to move elsewhere, I have various spots they could move to.

Nature making use of something we leave around. Though someone's in for it, they've just been evicted and it must have taken hours to make this.

I was impressed after I cleared it out, that it still works.
I zapped myself on the fence, so I triple checked the village metre.

The only thing I have found that puts them off is suspending it above the ground. If it's on the ground, they don't seem to give two hoots about the current!

Noted.
I will see if I can find a brick or something.
As it's in use, my scent might disturb them into thinking they don't want to live there.
Twice a day I flick the switch that much give them a fright/headache.
Assuming they have ears 😂

When winter comes @newforest you might add Wilson on Ants to your library reading list. Pioneer of socio-biology. I see he is condemned as racist now. But ignore that. For ants, he's your man.

Yes that could be a subject to keep me going, thank you.
I will be starting the horse book thread soon. The evenings are drawing in.
