Who Wants A Turnout Rug For 1p?

My hubby starts all of his auctions off at 1p, no matter what the value.

The principle is that you do the research to make sure that similar items have sold in the past month for what you want to acheive. Then you write a good title with the right keywords in. You make sure you start the auction so it finishes at a good time, You include good pics.

We've always got good prices for all our stuff compared with whats sold in the past month. The 1p start price attracts the watchers and ferments auction fever!

The only problem i can see is if the final auction bid is greatly higher, you end paying more in the FVF. I normally start at 99p not that much difference i know, but that's on items i'm not fussed about.

I wouldn't do that for a saddle as the FVF is so high you may as well start the listing higher and pay less in the fees.

I do have the odd fun item that i have sold as well, one single stirrup, and one cheek piece, those i may have done 1p:wink:
