Robin is going to the vets tomorrow for hock injections. The more I thought about it the more it made sense. I couldn’t sleep last night so emailed the vets at something like 2 am this morning. They opened at 11 today and emailed to say if I could get him there at 1.30 tomorrow they could do it then. Perfect! He will not be impressed for a couple of days box rest but should make him feel less unsettled and dramatic.

Good luck, hope all goes well and it makes all the difference. Has he had them before?

Yes he has. Last time was 17 months ago so I’m very happy. The first time was 15 months before that. They work wonders for him.

That's a brilliant result, everything crossed you get the same amount again if not longer!

@newforest yes for hock arthritis. The bottom joint on each hock. He was diagnosed almost 3 years ago followed by multiple other issues meaning I almost lost him. So to still have him and for him to be doing so well is a bonus every day.

@carthorse I have no idea I am just thinking ahead. Probably completely

Friday now. I have just built electric pens for him to go out j to the field. He is now checking my work and discussing with his buddy 😂

For a moment when I arrived I thought he had put himself in the pen already 😂 (no he’s not holding up a leg he was about to turn round)IMG_1636.jpeg

Ah i wondered if there was something else.
They never worked for long with Billy. Thats why hes now retired and crippled on his hock.
They should keep working until that joint becomes too compromised.
