The basic idea is to reduce your worming down to essential doses plus possible 'hidden' worms. This can be three tests in a year plus a winter dose for encysted worms and tapeworm, but sometimes it is quite different from that. New horses should always be tested to see what they are bringing in and often they will have high counts. We once had one here who looked great but had a count of over 6500 epg so you can't tell by looking.
