Whats worse to undertake cleaning wise, if you get my drift...
Mares or geldings?
Reason I ask is because someone told me cleaning the mares was worse.

My God, I didn't know you had to clean a mare's bits????

I do know that when I do my little mini gelding it isn't that bad to do, it's just that because I have to get down on my knee's and almost climb under him I am always worried what people would think I am doing if they happened to be watching me. The mind boggles.

"You'd never believe what I saw this deviate lady doing to her horse today"

Geldings are worse than mares, dont mind doing our mares.

My old gelding is something else. I use baby oil first to loosen the black bits, then stick my hand inside with cotton wool alternating with shoving the hosepipe up there. The amount of jumk that comes out is disgusting and I do it regularly

God knows what passers by think but the old lad seems to enjoy it

Nelson is ticklish and doesn't really agree, Bananas loves it, Zola is still nervous of her tail being touch, never mind under it and Sietske is just minging and needs the entire of her back end washing after a season and boy goes she STINK!!!

Leon tries to kick my head in....and suceeded in snapping my leg (literally) once... so now only attempt after he's been sedated for the dentist :D

Roxy gets really waxy on her ladybits so tend to need sorting every weekend in summer cos the flies go MAD for it

*Shivers*.

Tylers was done yesterday. Another girl on the yard helped while I stood and spoke to Tyler. No need really. He just kept on munching his hay. Not bothered at all.

It hadn't been cleaned in a couple of years I htink and we hadnt managed to do it since we got him in March so decided to get it over and done with.

Wasnt as bad as I thought, although pretty dirty. Giving it a quick wash today just to take off all the smegma that has been loosesned.

The girl who helped me said she would rather do a mare any day, but I have never tried a mare so I can't really comment lol.

geldings, its harder to clean and dirtier but mares get nasty and try to kick a lot more. most geldings dont really care.

Nothing like a good generalisation :D Actually I find my mare is very well behaved. Even when in season she'll just stand there with the 'bovvered' expression. Maybe she's just unusual then :p

I'd take a mare any day, tbh.

Tried Merlyn one time, and got wet willy in my eye for my efforts

ETA It still has shavings on it :p

LMAO! That made me cry with laughter! Just spat tea all over the keyboard!
Think if tried to do Skippy I'd probably get trodden on or kicked to bits! Soda isn't bothered by anything, but his seems okay so I have yet to try properly!

Well I seem to have a horse with a sheath and too much oestrogen

Brought Red in for the farrier yesterday, and there was 'gunk' coating at least half an inch thick over his back legs. Front and back...and there was a line trickling down from the inside of his stifle. It was horrible

Never thought i'd be cleaning "womanly essences" off a gelding...it took some scrubbing aswell...

erck.

I did Morse the other day, quietest I have EVER seen him, he just stood there with a droopy lip, from the front he probably looked like:eek:

:D Someone did say to me 'Does it really take an hour and a half':D

J O K I N G:p
