Coffee & Cake Shop Chat

Pizza sounds good. I opened a pack of sausage rolls for a lunchtime snack. Then got told they were for dinner. See thats my mother just lately. She keeps dishing us up sausage rolls for dinner. Sausage rolls are for snacks not dinner. I dont mind occasionally but its getting frequent. Well today im afraid i opened my mouth and told her so. Anyway now i see shes got some steak out. So i might have a cider with it tonight.

Its like the other week, when we were doing hay making, brother popped home to make some repairs and he brought back dinner with him. I was nearly passing out it was that hot sitting in the tractor cab. What had mother cooked for dinner a flipping stew with roast potatoes and veg. Seriously that is just wrong on the hottest day of the year. I nearly chucked it on the field in discust.

Lol Yes sausage rolls are either a snack of breakfast. We have them with baked beans sometimes for a quick breakfast. Heck it must be hot where you are - I can't remember the last time it was too hot for stew! Enjoy your steak and cider.

I hacked out in the rain and did a comparison between last Saturday's traffic and this Saturdays traffic.
Hacking in the rain is great, the volume of traffic is what we are used to. (Who wants to have a picnic or sit on the beach in the rain)

Just needed some respite from how busy it is here and we aren't used to it.

Sorry but the only good rat is a dead one in my book.
They look evil. I know pet ones dont but i cant stand them either.
You supposed to get bitten on the finger. How on earth did it bite your bottom Ale.

I love rats. But they do smell no matter how clean you keep them especially boys. I was trying to clean the shelving in their very awkward to clean cage whilst they were having a play outside. They haven't quite got used to me yet and I guess that's their way of investigation ?

I love rats too!
I know you're not meant to like the wild ones but I have to have a grudging respect for them. I have six kitties now that take care of them. At our old house things did get a bit out of hand. We had a very ancient one who was blind in one eye. He lived outside our caravan. I always wanted pet ones. I got guniea pigs instead. I got bitten off one of those once and that hurt - on my thumb.

Late to the coffee shop today. What a sh*t morning. Took Storm out - beautiful sunny day. Flies were a bit pesky but then OH came to take over whilst I mucked out and she put in a massive spook at neighbours cows - result, came in very sore and very lame, so box resting and more Danilon. Ice boots have been on and off all morning - poor old girl. She can't help being reactive, but it's such a shame and I hate seeing her in this amount of pain. Any spare vibes welcome. I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about her injury, it's been so long and so ongoing but we manage it (mostly) but not today:(

Well thats one hell of an introduction!
I actually love rats, we had girls though and they really didn't smell, my oldest used to carry hers around in her fleece pocket (on the chest of her fleece) little Flash (we had Flash & Sparky, followed by Sausage & Chips) would spend ages quite happily in there.

Poor Storm, poor you, I don't think any of us are sick of hearing about her injury at all, just hope she recovers quickly, lots of vibes for speedy healing coming your way for Storm and a big virtual hug from me - sanitised of course!

Loads of vibes for you and Storm @Trewsers You couldn't do more for her, she's a lucky girl to have such dedicated owners. Hope she's less sore soon X

(((((((Vibes)))))))) coming Storm’s way, poor less, I hope she’s feeling better tonight. Definitely not sick of hearing about her, I often wornder how she’s doing. Perhaps that should be on the random thoughts thread, wondering after people/horses we’ve never actually met IRL ?

Another one for the coffee shop wall if I may, really pleased with this one, part of my next assignment is to draw a horse, based on some sketches in our coursework folder or do a sketch of your own pet...... needless to say it was a win win for me
A few finishing touches to add but all in all I’m happy with ‘Belle’ 103202

Before even reading the words I thought this looks so much like Ale! Another brilliant art work!!

Busy day today.

Popped into town to do the shopping. I don't tend to go in during the day, but I decided I wanted to get the bus. I was the only person on it, ideal. :)
Then I supported the local sandwich bar and got my lunch, had that on the way back from the field. So maybe I can start eating outside again.

Lunged the cob, there was a lot of excess energy in there. She had trouble keeping the trot and kept cantering. I chose two different spots in her field, I think I opted for the least hilly.
