Yes I got a big bucket of the multi mite powder on your recommendation.
I scattered a load round the edges of my lounge carpet last year as it got attacked by carpet moth. Its pretty vintage but a proper made carpet. My Great Gandmother always said it came out of the lounge of PC Wren the writer. Just for info he died in 1941. That makes it over 80 years old. Just shows though carpets were made to last in them days.
Wow what a carpet! That is amazing. That was certainly a good quality one. We've had new ones a couple of years ago and they don't seem to be wearing very well at all. They weren't cheap either - but I doubt if they will last. My mother in law still has an Axminster one that she got put down in about 1970 and it still looks good.

Okay everyone time to imagine living thousands of years ago.

Imagine going for a walk to forage for food and coming across an animal print that looks like this. You would pray they eat grass wouldn't you.

Mr Trews took these last night.
The first one is a bit Star Trek - I wanted to say "to boldly go" it has such a galaxy / other wordly space vibe!

And the terrible two - at the other end of the fields, totally oblivious to the night time sky;

The view from our bedroom window for the summer;

Lovely to see the cows and their offspring. (That's our muck heap lol in the distance). At night I can see them when I sit in bed reading - the calfs are so funny and curious. But they do all lay down. Mr Bull is also in there somewhere, he's going to be busy this summer!
