2026 in photos

Monkey has been begging for grass, so I’ve popped them in my road side paddock this morning, the last bit of grass rested since last spring

It’s only 1/3 acre and there’s not loads in there, but it will give them a few days grazing.
 
I am going to make sure twice that mine are by the front door today 😂
I brought my long boots back.

My first thought when I saw this was how have you managed to get boots on your horse. Not why have you put boots on your horse 😂

It worked perfectly! They were really warm though!
 
According to Google this is the bud of a Hazel tree.

Does anyone know if that's true or not.
I have to say funnily enough there are no buds at all along the paddock line because someone's nibbled those.

Cant tell from the picture, altough branch looks about right. I'll have to look later at my hazels to see if the are starting to come out in leaf.
 
A quick look online says that the male Hazel produces the catkins and the female the berry which forms into a nut.
I do have a male Hazel tree in that case further down the field as I take photos of the catkins when I see them.
