I was thinking about you earlier today and wondering how things were going for you. Sorry your mum is still poorly and you've been ill as well. I know what you mean about the better weather and wanting to ride, its very inspiring is the sunshine! I hope you can have a sit on something soon - it's great just to keep your hand in, there's just something about it and I bet you will feel lots better about everything afterwards. I know I do - no matter what else is going on in life, just a short ride puts things right and I carry that wonderful feeling around with me, it helps so much.Gosh almost two months since i updated. Where has time gone.
Mum is still in hospital. We are almost back to where we were when she was omitted to hospital in November. Her legs suddenly went red and next thing her torso has started leaking badly again. Shes back on antibiotics for a chest infection and her legs. Doctor says its cellulitis.
Ive been ill on and off myself since xmas. So i have pretty much limited my hospital visits incase i took my bugs in. Plus me and my brother had a massive arguement. So as well as the bugs i had, ive been coping with stress and anxiety.
Animals are all fine. 3 weeks till lambing. Girls are all looking plump. Frank was a little lame this week so i got help to hold him yesterday so i could look and treat. Foot looks fine but i found he had what looks like mud fever sores up the legs.
Im planning on mucking out this weekend so im well ahead with being organised for lambing.
I saw a horse advert for a sharer required local. But the person never came back to me. I am missing the riding again currently now the nights are lighter and sun is at last shining. Its making me want to ride.
Ive asked if i would be able to have a sit on a horse at one of the places i work. They run a riding school both western and english. I dont want a lesson but just to have a little sit on for 10 minutes to keep my confidence up i think would be good. So at some point i might be able to say ive ridden.
Buying is on hold currently. Ive had to dip into my savings for recent car repairs and additional bills. So i need to save up.

Glad your mum was well enough to talk. Vibes for both of you, it's hard.Ewes are back home. Awaiting the new arrivals. 2 due this week 7 or 8 next week. Had to put Frank in with the two shearlings and he has gone back to my neighbours field with them. Just hope he settles. He was desperate to floor me when i got everyone in the yard. So i decided he couldnt stay with the lambing ewes. I cant afford to be flattened, black or blue, or have my legs broken. He really is dangerous. Ive spoken with his owners about him going home. As the agreement was i keep him till March. Ive said if he settles and doesnt ram the fences he can stay, as i could potentially use him this autumn. But if hes a nuisance he goes home.
Mum has been very unwell again this week. Worried it was nearing the end given how awful she was 2 days ago. I spoke to her on the phone tonight and i was surprised she actually seemed much better. I actually could hold a conversation.
