I just had my flat white for the day, it was so lovely. A tray of little lemon polenta cakes just went past and they are calling me!
We had a septic tank once and the cat did fall in it whilst it was being um, emptied. You know, I was thinking this morning - by the time this is all over, I'm going to struggle to fit work back in lol
I mucked all three out this morning as Zi stayed in due to bad weather. But, Mr T took madam out for walkies whilst I did that but discovered a huge HOLE IN THE GROUND which turns out to be our old septic tank!We both thought it had been covered by contractors two summers ago when we had earth shifted. Something has made it all sink in. It's just pure luck that none of the kitties fell down it - or us come to think of it or the horses (though it is in the back garden and that's out of bounds to them unless they have escaped!) So it's operation fill in. Has a pallet over for now.

Oh my god, hosepipe job.
Ive got loads of things that i could be doing but dont want to do anything.
My lawns need mowing but we have to be sensible, once the fuel is used up we wont be able to get anymore as we shouldnt be going out. I can see me hand grazing the boys on it. I could put up some tape on the really long bit but i will have to stay with them as there is a 20ft drop near the bit that needs munching, so dont want to make other risks.
Im on rations.
Jeeps, that could have been a disaster, at least now you know and can get it filled with concrete or something.
Rain I'd bet, a bit like how sink holes form when there's a pocket of less dense soil.Yeah I know it could have been really bad - we both assumed that two summers ago when we asked the contractors to shift some earth that it had dropped down sufficiently and filled it! We were warned about it when we moved in, as it was covered with boards - so obviously it was something we had to get filled. I just can't weigh up how the earth has shifted like that - it's really odd. We've not had heavy vehicles near it either to cause disruption.
