I never have?The only problem with NFU is that you have to JOIN the NFU (can't remember, about £70 one off annual payment?) in order to take out any of its policies.

But if a claim is ongoing, they continue to pay it into the following year and only stop paying out on a claim when you reach the £5000 per claim maximumI've been with NFU for three years and pay around £300 per year for my mare. They're really good on communication and also are quite quick to pay out for claims. I've just claimed off them for a lameness case and they've paid pretty quickly. Unfortunately as tots n dots said they do have the 12month clause so my insurance on this lameness now runs out 30th May but to be fair all my vets bills have finished (touching wood) for this claim and it's just remedial farriery which i'll have to pay for myself.

I have never heard of having to 'join NFU'. I never have!
