Yes I think a bit of both really. She likes getting digs in over stuff, she is very controlling and likes her own way. Unfortunately for me, she has no respect for me whatsoever. I blame myself partially, as because OH and I have been together since we were 16 she still treats me like a teenager. I should have put my foot down when we moved in together but I was weak willed until the horses came into my life. Once they arrived I got tougher!

That has got to be the weirdest anniversary present ever?!?! I wonder what on earth made her think of tuna, tomatoes and poppadoms? They don't even go together?!?!!

I agree with sending back a crappy present for Christmas. In fact go to no expense for her present and just return the stuff she gave you... even if it is out of date!

Hahahaa, sometimes the stuff she sends is half eaten or out of date - I think she just empties her cupboards!!! She buys special foods for her daughter and grandson visiting and then when they have gone home tries to give me all their half eaten bags of stuff! She can't bear to chuck it away!!!
