Slightly disappointed with another 65% score aa he broke canter being very nosey at the other arena, but the good work was good and managed an 8nfor the halt!
So I put my brave pants on today and set up some proper jumping work for D.
He was utterly fantastic and i actually really ejoyed myself. Trotted in, trot to the first x pole and canter the next stride over the last fence and canter oit. He was super polite and got the assignment!
No pics from riding, but him and his mates afterwards.
No riding tonight as he was a bit upset. The yard had been very busy today with the hunting sect flying about and that always winds the herd up. I take the fact he was actually mostly good to handle as a positive step forward. This time last year Id have left him in the field.
I did get a nice pic though. He is really starting to look like he is growing into himself.
A lovely yard evening with what was going to be a potter around the fields, but with a breeze today for the first time in what feels like a year, but is in fact only 4 days, it was actually really nice, so w/t/c it was. Not too many silly spooks and i will forgive the pheasent flying out of the grass!
We went jumping this morning at a local show with my neice and her pony. Thankfully the weather is a LOT nicer today temp wise than it has been all week.
2nd show with me, 1st time out anywhere with poles and he was fabulous. Came home with a 2nd and a 3rd from out x pole and 40cm classes and his behaviour was brilliant!
Pro riding again and XC fences time! Logs and banks, no problem. Brush fences are not to be touched, but no problem. He only said 'not sure' properly once about tyres, but jumped the second time and was flying at the third presentation.
Lesson night tonight! Normally get the pro to ride but she is broken so me in the saddle instead. Got some fantastic moments and worked hard, but had a very good ride.
Pro rather likes him still and Im very fond of him.
Why when things are good do you get kicked back down.
Due to the lack of grass anywhere we've just been given 6 weeks notice as the YO wants her field back for her horses.
Where we are going to find 24/7 turn out for 7 horses and ponies with a school in southern england i dont know. And somewhere to put all our stuff. Nightmare.
Make it worse i am on holiday for 2 of the weeks. Could just sit down and cry right now. Been there 11 years. Only left the last place as the owner sadly died. Really dont know what to do. I suspect our herd will get split.
