Is that the same as mine but as a cavesson?Took Monkey for a gentle ride tonight, just a couple of miles as he did a lot on Monday, and I’ve got a long weekend and there’s good weather forecast so it will be a busy weekend again!View attachment 128612
@newforest thread about new bridles motivated me to try the one I’d bought and a different bit too. I think I need to order a bigger browband when I order the throat lash (I def don’t trust it without one, it was too easy to take off without undoing anything).

Not sure, mine’s a horsemanship saddlery one. The Wilkie I just wanted a little more oomph for when we’re out in more company, he’s generally super light in the hand but when he gets overwhelmed he can forget everything. Is that the same as mine but as a cavesson?
I have the same bit and so far she stays on snaffle setting. But if we need a little reminder of her manners if I happen to misjudge her season,I can drop it down..
You honestly could, I had to learn not to when I first moved here having come from somewhere where you cantered when you could as there wasn't many chances!I always think when I look at your pics that you could canter absolutely anywhere!

He really has filled out nicely now, everyone who’s seen him this year (farrier, osteo, saddler etc.) has commented on how much even since last year.He is such a nice looking horse! Bulked up soo much since you first got him.
That's what happens to mine when she's in season. It will be interesting to see what this year brings as she might have done a slight system reset after being on the regumate. Not sure, mine’s a horsemanship saddlery one. I love his colour.Saddler out this afternoon and it needed a top up of flocking (it was completely reflocked last summer so it had settled).
Then off for a quick ride in drizzly rain, but it was quite pleasant nonetheless.

His colour changes so much winter to summer, he’s pale in winter, including pale leg hair, that almost completely disappears in the summer when he’s much darker all over. The last of the leg hair is just hanging on still.
