Coffee & Cake Shop Chat

@chunky monkey - Coco Brown is excellent down the yard - I just tell her stay and she sits in the gateway and watches as I put the hay out for them and then I usually take her around the big front field when I am done (horses can't get in there just now). but it was totally my fault - misjudged their mood and signalled her to come with me down the back fields and of course she did - trouble is so did they lol!

She is only 6 but unfortunately has serious hip and elbow dysplasia so unlike a young fit dog who could quickly slip under the fence when I tell her too - she is so slow and ungainly I have to physically drag her for her own safety :( My bad - but all was well in the end thank God :)

Abbeys 16 now. So plodding is all she does. She even went in the shed to srounge in the bedding when i was feeding the sheep the other night, then i saw jonah eyeing her up and heading towards her. She was totally oblivious to him approaching. I had to intervene rather quick before his horns made contact.

I'm just about to make some coffee and oatmeal, then going to put some seeds in my windowsill propogator, a quick shower and down to the neds to ride as the sun is shining well here :) I might venture across the other side of the river today with Indie, so long as he isn't on a super go-slow again

Just popping in for lunch with pizza. And afters sponge pudding with brandy sauce. Got to get some carbs in me. We finished the mucking out this morning. Cleaned out under all the pallets in the hay barn as well. Tailed the lambs and they have gone out with mums in the field as one was climbing the walk having been in 10 days. They need some sunshine. Bedded up the pen we just finished cleaning out so they can go in to it tonight. Off out to ride soon and then getting the sheep back to home.

Yum I love pizza! What type?

I had a hearty "all day breakfast" (beans, mushrooms, sausage, bacon slice, scotch egg) out of a tin complete with hot buttered toast and coffee. That seemed ages ago! lol
Just had a nice cup of French "house blend" filter coffee and a Mr Kiplings chocolate swirl.
Gorgeous day here but very cold. Going to wrap up and have a trudge about the fields later.

Pepperoni, i actually pulled the bits off and gave them to my brother. I dont like over spicy food and they were just too much, catching the back of my throat. They were coop special offer pizzas so only certain flavours on offer and limited supplies anyway.

I didn't used to like pepperoni, it scared me lol
I branched out and tried it lol and love it! I do like spicy foods though.

Yum. Just had Mr t's late luncheon locally made fish cake and chip butty on a t cake. Omg amazing! Simple and delightful. Just a tiny handful of french fries on top of the fish cake mashed up. Wonderful. Complete with cup of strong tea.

Do what o_O you had chips in a t cake, as in a sweet bread with cinnamon and raisens? Or is a t cake something else up there ;) :D

Haha yes, roll, bun, I've even heard bread cakes, but tea cakes are sweet and I couldn't imagine trying them with fish cakes and chips :p

Lol up here at the local village shop they think it's hilarious if I ask for t cakes - cos they point me in the direction of the chocolate Tunnocks ones hahahaa.
They call them rolls here.
My friend down south calls them baps.

Totally random - but we're in the coffee shop right?!
I just was in the utility room downstairs - and I thought I'd prepare the horses tea. Well, I looked out and Zi was right at the bottom of the back field. Next news he was doing his ginger beauty impression and galloping up - he must have heard me! How good must those ears be????? That room has a large window - which has seen better days, but it is still double glazed. Could he have heard me from all that distance? I think he spotted me, but I am often in there anyways. I know in the past he's heard the noise of the pony nuts clattering into the bowls - but this was a long way off even for him. They have good ears though don't they?

Tunnocks aren't like they used to be. It must have jam.

Today I rode, and chatted to a few people, keeping the distance, no stroking.
Sprayed on my home made conditioner, see how effective it is on her feathers.
I may wash her tail tomorrow.

Just having my morning coffee.
Just thinking next weekend is clock change. I think with most already loosing there work routines, and having time on there hands, it wont make much difference to most people this year. Normally we are all excited about that extra hour in the evening.
