December Chit Chat

I've heard horror stories told..on documentaries of kids calling 911......our VERSION OF 999...
because the parents told then they HAVE TO EAT THEIR PEAS.

I think some hospitals have tried to set up
Walk in clinics just before getting into the emergency room to try to sidestep unnecessary stuff into the emergency room.

BUT MOST RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE
don't rush to the emergency room.

Most insurances have a huge copay for emergency room visit UNLESS your admitted.

Its illegals and people who won't be paying a bill anyway that keep flooding them.

I haven't ever called 999 and have only been to A&E when 111 told me to get there pronto! So I can't imagine why anyone would waste their time with trivial stuff but yes, I do imagine some folk might consider a minor ailment as an emergency. :(
I've only ever had to call it once when my dad was in the middle of having a stroke. It was a long time ago - about 25 years, the NHS weren't as stretched back then. I remember an emergency doctor coming out very quickly. But having said that, after he'd seen my Dad, I had to take my dad in the car to hospital the next day as it wasn't deemed an emergency and there was no patient transport available.

How awful that kids think it is okay to do that!

The cob is looking forward to New Year, seriously she is. 😂
She's having to wait until those who must let off fireworks do so tonight, then I can open up the spare winter paddock.
She actually doesn't need more grass, but the grass in the paddock she's using is yellow from too much water running down the field.
I know she's a very good doer, but she needs fibre.

Sorry for a rubbish post. I’m so fed up. I hate this day. It’s my birthday. I have had the full range of mum telling me how ill she was. How at this point of the day I was born she was knackered. Along with the I ruined her new year. Etc etc etc. i have not so far had the i wasn’t planned. I have run out of being nice. J am sorry I have ruined her life. I want to go to bed but she is still sat here. I love my mum but. She took me out for afternoon tea. She had actually been given the vouchers as a gift. I have to be grateful she has shouted me a meal. And of course she paid for Christmas meal. Then the “oh goodness no, I couldn’t eat that much cake” and is now taking slivers off it.

I have also had the disappointment that I have not mad more of myself. The did I not have more aspirations and want to do more with my life.

The best birthday i had was when j was sectioned on a psych ward where they quietly gave me a cake and let me be myself. I want to be back there.

I was also in trouble as I was 5 mins late getting back from the yard.

She is not getting my “go home” vibes.

I am looking forward to an early night and curling up with my current cat detective novel. And I've got another book I've just started. Prior to that I'm going to go and check on Storm and see how her poor nose is doing and muck out etc and give night nets to Zi and make her mashes. And I have a cold glass of Fosters and steak and chips to be had after that. It is cold and raw feeling out there. I had better get bundled up as I might be a while making sure the kitkats have enough food in the garage. Plus I want to sit with Husky on my knee a while in there - and it's nippy in there at the best of times.

Im cat sitting again so off to give them there tea and cuddles shortly. Then call in and feed the menagerie in the sheds on the way home. Last night in for the calves and the poorly rams. There going back out tomorrow, they havent a clue.

Our New Year event has been cancelled in town due to the costs. It might be something that simply doesn't return, covid stopped it two years running and now it's the recession.
That's a shame isn't it.
Things have gone on as usual this year in town here. Today is Ba day!

This was the Christmas Day game that got played. There's another match today.

The New Year things have carried on, but having the fair and radio show with the stage etc got canceled.
