Thanks, lots of work needed on our jumping, seem to struggle a lot to be together, I can't see a stride and she takes off way early normally. :redface:

Even though i am too big for her she can carry me easy, I share her shes arab/welsh

you're not 'too big' for her at all! there's no rule about who's too big (heightwise that is) for what!

i just had to join this forum when i came across this subforum!

Heres me and my mare who i have had since i was 13, which is now 8 years!
She's a 13'1 welsh x appaloosa and i'm 5ft8!!! but weigh just less than 8 stone, we do dressage/hacking/jumping mainly I'd love her to have a correct sized jockey but don't seem able to find anyone sutible as she's very sparky!

What lovely ponies! I envy you smaller riders - I think if I got on something like the gorgeous Panda, her legs would go out from under her due to my weight - plus a saddle to fit my bum would be hanging off her rump :redface:

Here is Harvey, my pony. He is 13.2hh and a welsh sec C type (maybe, could be crossed?)

I'm 5ft 2 (ish, maybe 5ft 1) and in this pic was about 10st 7. Trying to lose weight so I don't continually squish him!
