Post a photo today...new 2021 edition

Huge progress woo hoo.
Lincoln and Chester spent the night together...they have been going into the clubhouse together for sleepy time
during the day.
I had also been putting one pile if hay.

I looked out with binoculars a bunch of times last nite to be sure no one was outside.

They must have been pretty comfy cosy because i got all the way almost going in their gates before I heard Lincoln sleepily talking to me..

Chester came out first then Lincoln
And looking inside no kerfuffle.

Being Lincoln had the broken neck when he was a baby
we took it very slowly

This landed in our field today! Luckily horses were in the barn, and we were poo picking. Our field is between the bypass and the forest, and an elderly man had a heart attack while driving, and drove into the ditch. We saw an ambulance and fire engine, then heard the copter. They usually land on the golf course, but noooo - smack bang in the field. SO loud! I dashed to check the horses, while YO spoke to them. They were there for about an hour. Didn't bring the man back, and when things cleared there were no sirens, so I hope he was alright.Screenshot_20210406-184604_Gallery.jpg

LOL YOU WON THE PRIZE FOR TRAINING...DESENSITIZING OBSTACLE.

And.. PICTURE OF THE YEAR...

First year at my old house I rode up to the top the street
To a public works yard where several military copters landed.

Then took off again .
Never heard why
I was outside the chain link fence on
SONNY THE FIRST.
In the road for landing and takeoffs

Thank god he just stood.

20 20 hindsight I would not do that again.
I was lucky.

Over the years a few life flights landed in the train station parking lot.

I saved a huge bumble bee from Sonny's
Water yesterday..
Things are barely popping.
This was no baby bee...
I have no idea how they over winter but i was thrilled to see and save him.

Not so thrilled to find a dead mouse in one of the goats heated water buckets yesterday morning.

That was a HUGE GROSS OUT

Thank god they always have multiple buckets.20210406_152140.jpg

Its hard to see it blends in

It was ...
I was a bit surprised
I don't see many that big evrn in summer.

Woo hoo turkeys this am...

I walked outside heard 1 really sharp like a whistle.
I knew it was a Turkey sound
Looked to side area 1 turkey
He did it a couple more times then from the other side i heard answers

3 more came chasing down the driveway
But I didn't see then come from around the front of the house to rhe single one

I went back inside tp look out the front window the single one went to end of the driveway where the other 3 were

Then I'm going back out hear gobbling behind the horses.
Its not those Turkey's

Then omg. Gobbling huge kerfuffle sounds from out back
3 more there that must have been sparring.
One was already moved off the other 2 must have just been sparring but seeing me disturbed them
They all moved off into the woods
As I was feeding cleaning etc i could hear the gobbles etc moving further away.

It made my day. I LOVE THE TURKEYS

Ugh I would not call this an
ISOLATED SNOWFLAKE..

That's what the news is saying.

Its coming down quite hard.

We lost power last nite for about 5 hrs but this storm isn't all that bad there isn't a lot of winds.

When it was still off when I woke up at midnight I called the power co.

They said it was feed problem to the sub station and they were waiting for the national supplier to come fix it..it could be a few hrs..

I woke again at 222 yea it was back on.

Our little power company in this village
Does a SUPER JOB keeping wires clear.
In bad storm's we generally have power as long as the
FEEDS don't have problems.

I'm actually glad we didn't end up building next town over where the 33 acres is.
Every storm they seem to loose power.

Ohhhh SONNY won't be happy at all today...
He's been starting to get grass.
