Retraining racehorses a saga

Mo has had a sudden increase in work, proved to be a safe fun ride with bloodhounds and will be attending the ROR Showcase next month . She is a lovely sweet mare but will never be a Chucka :(

We do however have another 3yo from Brian Smart who only raced a few times as a two year old and is quite babyish so we are taking him very slowly but he is brave and promising so we have given him Chuckas stable. Its a start! Hot Rock (Rockie) may fill some very big shoes in time.!!

Rockie is everything we needed and expected, a clever but immature 3yo, so different from Chucka at that age but really our sort. Emma is having fun doing baby work with him lots of long reining and ground work while we wait for him to mature physically in front to match his powerful quarters

We have been asked to look at a 6yo who Chuckas trainer would like us to have and are hoping to go to his last race to meet his owers/breeders

Life sometimes works out strangely! emt
Today we put Fiddley in the field as a companion the new boy 'Straightothepoint' (must find a stable name!!). Yesterday he also acted as escort to take Hot Rock on his first mini hack. Since I started this blogwith fiddley it seems appropriate that he also starts the new begining of our adventures.(pictures to follow)
