My Mum's horse was a Norwegian Fjord x Knabstrabper (?) fantasic 15hh chap, I'll see if I can find a pic somewhere.
I was told recently that the Fjord society frown on cross breeding Fjords (I think that 'frown' is putting it nicely ) but does anyone know of any out there and what they were put to and look like?
Not for any particular reason, it's just a cross that I've never come across

Hate to bring up bad news, but we lost Sven this year in the Three Island Crossing re-enactment of the crossing of the Snake River. It celebrates the main crossing of the Snake River along the Oregon Trail. The water was quite deep and fast and he just gave up on me. It was the biggest loss of any animal I've ever felt.
The good news is that good friends found us a team of Fjord mules in our area and we're working on getting them trained to drive this summer.
Here's a pic or two of them. They won't ever replace the relationship I had with Sven, but they are beautiful! We still can't tell which is which. They are full sisters - coming 2 and 3 years old.
We also keep a gallery of them at this link:

Winnie is sort of up for sale if anyone is interested!!
She is a dear girl. I have just spent 7 days working with her and watching her coming along leaps and bounds (not literally).
A real corker.

There's a horse here
http://www.horsemart.co.uk/advert/9_yrs_14_0_hh_palomino_haflinger_northamptonshire/37239
that is claimed to be Fjord/Haflinger cross, but to be honest I prefer the looks of pure Fjord or pure Haflinger, both of which have nicer colouring I think.
I posted this one in another thread recently, Fjord x Shetland!
