The old NR - what a difference!!

My OH thinks I'm a Troll and so does my eldest son, I have the right shape and the toenails to match but I Can't eat a family of goats in one sitting. I quite fancy the furry pants they wear very comfy .:D:D:D:D:D:D

Crikey!! This is making me paranoid!

I am not a Troll either.

To be honest, i have not noticed anyone who i would consider a 'troll', I am sure people would not subscribe to the forum just to be a 'troll'

I must say, i have read some things that dont 'add up' and some people do contradict themselves now and again, but I dont think that any of the members are trolls.

Oh dear - my paranoid half is taking over - Im the sort of person who goes all red and flustered when I hear a siren whilst driving - always think I MUST have done something wrong!:o

Shall now have to go back and check all my old posts to see if I have ever contradicted myself in case I might be thought to be a troll!

Seriously though - cant say I have thought anyone seems troll like who posts on here - maybe it all goes over my head?

Whilst we are on the subject - what exactly is termed as troll behaviour? Thought it was someone who goes on a forum just to stir up a bit of aggro - or have I got the definition wrong?

Okay, let's set the record straight!

I agree with you CB and this is probably what I mean more than a traditional 'troll' per se. I think there have been posts & threads on here that perhaps are not as truthful as they could be and several things that don't add up, however it IS a free world and people are entitled to do as they please.

Becasue I don't want to start any arguments and things continue to carry on as per normal via other threads & posts I don't want to say anymore on the matter. I'm know that 99.9% of people on here are genuine but I do feel there are one or two who.... are not as genuine (I think is probably the most politically correct way I can put it!)

Panic not everyone!!!!! :)

Noo, I'm the Troll - panic, panic, panic folks:D

I've told you all I'm a middle aged, overweight, nervous rider with a wee fat cob called Arnie. The photos I've posted are actually of my groom with an old RS horse.

I'm actually a 6'2" supermodel with string of showjumpers but I didnt want to make you lot all feel bad so I've been slumming it a bit:D;)

Nice to see you on here Jordan! :p;)

I've got them securely tied down with a bit of gaffa tape:D

You've no idea how much they help my riding. I fold beautifully over the big jumps now (okay, I have to fold all the time but thats okay cos I'm showjumper). They act as stabilisers - one on either side of the mane:D

Plus you'd have a nice soft landing if you were to ever come off!! :p :D

Obviously I'm such a fantastic rider that I dont fall off - but if I did, I'd have to make sure I landed face down:D

I actually wear 2 inch spurs and as long as I keep my toes turned out, they embed in my horses side and act as anchors:eek:

.

They used to during the school hols before the subscription - they used to come on and say some daft stuff, but they were easily spotted! So people didn't used to feed 'em.....:D

Some of the trolls were brilliant though - hours and hours of entertainment! Anyone remember the girl who started telling folk how to show horses - trim your M&M's mane etc:eek:. There was a real ruccus as some kids duly went off and did it. HorseHelen or something similar. She had a thread about plaiting or "plates" that ran and ran - priceless:D

I had left this thread alone as I loved the old NR :p I enoyed the trolls and even the bitchiness but it was evened out by the fluffy bunnies :D so a good balance.

My honest opinion is the we have gone a bit soft now

I have read a couple of threads in the last two days that have made me cringe. I would love to say what I really think but thats not the culture now. While that might make it a more comfortable place to be, I'm not sure if we are doing people any favours. Sometimes a few people disagreeing or telling you how it is helps, you look at things from a different view, or at least I do.

I do miss the old members, Jordan Ross was great, I remember the way he was treated on HHO when Daphe died, disgusting.

So why dont we try to get back on track rtk? I'm with you - we need a bit of balance. We dont need to hound folk but we should be able to disagree or voice a different opinion - and if things dont add up then we should be able to say so.

And I'll start with an apology to you:o - guess who came across the bag of small shetland rugs when she started clearing out the shed:eek:. I promised them to your sanctuary people last autumn:o - hangs head in shame seeing as how its now summer.

Honest, I'm not a troll - I'll get them sent!

:D:D:D Thats great, thank you, I never thought you were a troll :p

Thelwell and friends will be most grateful :D

What is a troll?

I and some others left NR on principle - a non horsey issue which was sorted. So I returned. But I did oppose the banning of Pink's lady which you were banned if you mentioned in those days. Nice to see her name here again. But these fraught issues are why the old NR days wil never come back.

I liked OldWoman - I am old myself and it was nice to have the voice of a more experienced, non-professional horse owner of our generation. I would be forthright too. But those of us who ride at riding schools are obliged to stay anonymous - after all, I am banned from one of them already for complaining to the BHS about bullying - and that was even without mentioning any names.

Also think alternative opinions need to be voiced :) think there are constructive and useful ways of doing it which is the important part. I'm so confused and worried with watching the decline in silver that i can't string thoughts together, so a kick in the right direction, in a constructive, infofmative and firm way is useful in this confusion. Yes as established in diff thread... Im dizzy hehe.

P.s. Skippys mum i wish i had your boobs, i wouldnt have hassle of boots for madam by the sounds of it! I could just tuck them under her feet if shes foot sore! Hehe
